Fiber Splicer

 

Fiber Splicer will be responsible for the terminating, splicing, bonding/grounding, documenting, and testing of all fiber optic cables. Aerial & underground splicing and cable installation. Ability to properly terminate fiber cable. Knowledge on fiber-optic networks and terms such as GPON, FTTH, FTTB, etc. Ability to properly create and install cables. Neatly label all enclosures. Ability to perform all component and system testing. Employee will learn to read and interpret splice matrices/prints. Employee will perform skilled troubleshooting and perform other duties as assigned.

Also:

Bucket truck work
Take down and hang enclosures
Tape down cables
Mount underground enclosures
Able to drive truck with trailer

DOT physical

Must be ok working weekends

Drug Test & Background Check
Able to lift 75lbs
Climb ladder
Work Outside in the elements (heat, rain, cold, snow)
Comfortable with hand tools
Traffic direction (at times)

10-12 hour days.

Some overtime is mandatory. The overtime rate is time and a half.

Salary: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour +  a weekly bonus for production.

Aerial support technician 

 

This is a helper role that will assist our fiber splicer team by providing aerial and underground support to them by:

Doing all of the bucket truck work
Taking down and hanging up enclosures
Taping down cables
Mounting underground enclosures
Comfortable and able to drive truck with trailer

Assist with tasks at hand

DOT physical
Drug Test & Background Check
Able to lift 75lbs
Climb ladder
Work Outside in the elements (heat, rain, cold, snow)
Comfortable with hand tools

8-12 hour days

Must be available to work weekends and overtime when needed
